On February 21st the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov met the King of Bahrain Hamad Al Khalifa in Manama (Kingdom of Bahrain). Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan also participated in the meeting.
Participants of the meeting discussed the issues concerning mutual cooperation in terms of several perspective directions, particularly, they considered the possibility to create favorable conditions for ramp-up and diversification of trade.
Denis Manturov emphasized that Russia pays much attention to the development of relationship with Bahrain as one of important partners in the Middle East region.
The Minister said that a special role in development of joint projects belongs to regional cooperation. The exchange of delegations between Bahrain and the Russian regions is carried out on a regular basis. Denis Manturov especially noted the interest of the Republic of Tatarstan in the expansion of bilateral cooperation with the State of the Persian Gulf.
The king of Bahrain, in his turn, noticed that he is informed about Tatarstan as one of dynamically developing and successful regions of Russia.
