Maxim Akimov held a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia

An ordinary meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia, chaired by Maxim Akimov, Vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, was held at the venue of the Open Innovations Forum.

Maxim Akimov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Vice Prime Minister, called the Association a good center for promotion of high-tech regions, but noted that ‘the digital agenda sets a completely new background and opens new opportunities’ for members of the organization. According to him, ‘some regions shall be centers of competences in individual sectors areas, sectoral hubs for the areas, such as agricultural technologies, logistics and transportation, healthcare, digital platform in education.’

Ivan Fedotov, Director of AIRR, called assistance in human resources development for research and innovative activities the major priority of the organization for the future, as provided for by one of the most critical sections of the draft federal program Technological Leadership prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development
