Nizhny Novgorod region became a member of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia

MOSCOW, January 15. /TASS/. The Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR), created to promote innovative projects in the regions, has accepted the 17th member – the Nizhny Novgorod region. A new council of the structure was also elected, but its powers were preserved, Ivan Fedotov, Director of the Association told TASS.

“Today, the General Meeting of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia was held with the participation of Vitaly Mutko, Mikhail Babich and other colleagues from the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Economic Development, and all our regions. There were changes in the composition of the Association, the 17th region was unanimously accepted - it was Nizhny Novgorod, the Nizhny Novgorod region. And we welcomed Igor Kobzev, acting Governor of the Irkutsk region,” Fedotov said.
