Industry of Siberia

From July 30 to 31, the participant region of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR), Tomsk Oblast, will host the forum "Siberian Industrialist – 2024." The event will bring together leaders of regional branches of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and major industrial enterprises in Siberia. Main discussion topics will include strengthening interregional ties, sharing experiences and the latest technologies in the industrial sector, and exploring promising areas for cooperation. The forum will take place in Tomsk, and on July 30 at 10:00 Moscow time, an online roundtable will be accessible via a link.

Golden Krasnoyarsk Krai

As part of the comprehensive investment project "Yenisei Siberia," the first phase of the gold extraction plant has been launched at the "Vysokoye" deposit. This is a significant step for the AIRR participant region in the field of mineral extraction. The completion of the first phase is expected by 2025, which will allow for the processing of 4 million tons of ore and the production of 4 tons of gold annually. By 2027, a second phase of the plant will be constructed, increasing production capacity to 6 million tons of ore and 6 tons of gold. The project will also create 1,500 jobs, contributing to the development of the mining industry in the region and generating additional income for the regional budget.

Reduction of Excess Reporting

The Ministry of Economic Development, in collaboration with Rosstat, has developed a law aimed at reducing the reporting burden on small enterprises when collecting statistical data, as well as eliminating the duplication of practices by various agencies. This work is part of the implementation of presidential directives to optimize reporting forms submitted by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). "Reducing the burden on small enterprises is another step towards digitizing the entire statistical data system within the framework of the national project 'Data Economy,' as well as significantly reducing the reporting burden on small businesses," noted Rosstat head Sergey Galkin. The law has been signed by the President of Russia and will come into effect on January 1, 2025.
