The best practices of Lipetsk residents in introducing innovations are being replicated throughout the country
“We are implementing many social and economic programs aimed at developing the region,” Lipetskaya Gazeta quotes Governor of the Lipetsk Region Igor Artamonov, talking about the development of his region. — Our goal is for the younger generation to be proud of their small homeland. It is especially important for us that young people clearly see career prospects in the Lipetsk region, want to stay here and contribute to the development and prosperity of their native land.”

Throughout the five years, Lipetsk residents have been systematically attracting investments, the publication writes. The leader in this direction is the Lipetsk special economic zone. It ranks first in the rating of economic zones in Russia at the end of 2022 and first in 2023 in the ESG rating of economic zones. Currently there are 60 residents working in the SEZ, and their number is constantly growing. This year, 4 new factories will open on the territory of the Lipetsk SEZ.

The region has strong potential for implementing projects in the field of mechanical engineering. In particular, the Belarusian holding Amkodor is restoring the legendary Lipetsk Tractor Plant. Production is planned to start in the spring.

A new stage in the development of the Russian automotive industry began with the launch of the country's first electric vehicle plant called Motorinvest. Located in the Lipetsk region, this plant has become the epicenter of innovation and a forward-looking view of the future of the automotive industry. One of the main features of the new enterprise is the use of advanced assembly technology based on the use of highly efficient traction motors.

Particular attention in the region is paid to training personnel for industry. For this purpose, two educational and production clusters and one educational cluster for training skilled workers and mid-level specialists have been created. They must provide personnel for key sectors of the economy from the point of view of security, sovereignty and competitiveness of the country.

There are plans to open a Youth Career Center, where Lipsk residents from 14 to 35 years old will be helped with career guidance and employment. In addition, teenagers will be able to master modern IT competencies in the Prometheus camp, which will become the intellectual center of the Central Federal District.

The Lipetsk region is a leader in rural digitalization and the only region in the country where all settlements with a population of more than 500 people have high-speed Internet.
